2015 Fourth of July Fireworks for the Katahdin Region

"Our Katahdin" is pleased to announce our next project to help fund the 2015 Katahdin Area Chamber of Commerce Fireworks, co-sponsored by each of YOU through "Our Katahdin".  We hope you agree this a great opportunity for each of us to contribute!

Every July, residents and alumni of the Katahdin Region come together to celebrate Independence Day with local parades, street vendors, dances, games, prizes, food and fun for everyone. The Fourth of July celebration has been a "regional reunion" for many decades with families coming together for barbeques, spending time at camp or simply reuniting with those who you don’t see on a regular basis. One thing for sure, the capstone of the region's festivities has always been the spectacular fireworks show that is now organized by the Katahdin Area Chamber of Commerce.

When? After sunset on Saturday, July 4th in Millinocket. The Fourth of July is on a Saturday this year, making it easier for those near and far to participate in the festivities and enjoy the colorful explosion in the sky! Regional activities are currently being developed leading up to the fireworks and will be published by the Katahdin Area Chamber of Commerce in the early spring. 

Let’s keep the tradition going:
Our Katahdin is looking to raise $2,500 in support of the Katahdin Area Chamber of Commerce’s organizing of the fireworks. 

Is this a reunion year for your class?
Has anyone setup a Facebook page for your class?  If so, share this link to that page.  Donations that are received through that link on your Facebook page will be tracked back to your class!  

You can also enter your school and graduation year in the donation form above under 'On Behalf Of' and get credit for your class that way.  We'll recognize classes that give most generously!

Do you prefer to give cash or check?
Not a problem.  You can drop off your check or cash to the Katahdin Federal Credit Union in Millinocket or the Bangor Savings Bank in East Millinocket or Millinocket.  Each of these financial institutions has made special arrangements with Our Katahdin to accept our donations and be sure we receive copies of the checks or cash receipts.  We are grateful for their engagement!  Another alternative is to mail a check to us at:

All donations given to this project will go directly to this project, with the exception of small PayPal fees that protect your financial transaction.  Our Katahdin is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
